James Tenser
James ("Jamie") Tenser is a consultant and author specializing in multichannel business strategy for retail and consumer products companies. He is principal and founder of VSN Strategies, a boutique consultancy which provides retailers and brand marketers with analysis and strategic insight about virtual (online) retailing. Since 1996 he has maintained a special focus on the marketing and sales of fast-moving consumer goods online.
Jamie's interest in Consumer Packaged Goods grew out of a 20-year career as a business journalist, analyst and commentator covering consumer goods retailing and marketing for leading industry publications including Supermarket News, Brand Marketing, Discount Merchandiser and VisionMonday. For two years he led the Retail & Consumer Products industry practice for Nexgenix, Inc., an e-business technology consulting firm.
Jamie is frequently quoted in national and international media and trade publications. He contributes columns to periodicals such as Where-Its-@, KPMG Consumer Markets Insider, Carlson Report, Chain Store Age, RetailTech, Executive Technology, Brand Marketing, and eRetailing World.
